I've read extensively about oil filter construction and performance, and this has consistently been one of the top-rated filters by sources I trust as not being biased or misguided in what makes for a good oil filter. Yes, they are expensive (as are the Mobil 1 and Amsoil), but you get what you pay for. If you have a precious/collectable engine to protect, don't skimp here. The price from Amazon, plus qualifying for no shipping fees, made them the place to make this purchase- I ordered several to qualify, but they'll get used, so it was money in the bank.
