(More customer reviews)We have 2 4x4's. We mostly use them for hauling wood, rocks, and dirt on our property. Last year, the older one had starter problems. We had the starter rebuilt by a local business. Couldn't believe that it was $84 to rebuild. The man told us that because the 4x4 is a "toy", it cost more to rebuild then other starters, both car and machinery, that we have taken to him. This time I checked around. It was cheaper to buy this new starter and have it delivered by UPS, then to have the old one rebuilt!
My husband is not a mechanic. He doesn't want to be one either! But with a previously purchased repair manual, we were able to save the "large fortune" by not having to put the 4x4 in the shop. We saved the "small fortune" by buying this starter on Amazon! A shop would have charged an "up charge" when billing us for a new starter.
